Self-Defense (KIN 157)
Denise “Dee” McDonough, who has been studying self-defense for about 14 years, teaches this one-credit, eight-week course in which students learn and practice moves with partners. “[McDonough] also demonstrates [moves] on people in the class and talks about general self-defense tips like moving in circles and using the whole weight of your body,” says senior Cassie Class. Self-Defense is difficult to enroll in as an underclassman, so consider taking it as a junior or senior.
